  • Ghasiram Sharma - a painting and a drawing

    Ghasiram Sharma (1868 - 1931) was one of the greatest painter from Nathdwara.
    Here are two exceptional examples that show his skill as a painter and as a draftsman.
    The subject of both is Tilkayat Govardhanlalji (1862 - 1934), the head priest of the Haveli of Shrinathji.
    The painting is in the collection of the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, the drawing is at the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington DC.
